NUMBO designs each piece in-house and manufactures it in our 4,500 m² Foshan facility, offering handwoven wall hangings, decorative cushions, and textile art panels. Our textiles use natural fibers — linen, cotton, wool, and silk blends — dyed with low-impact pigments and finished with attention to drape, texture, and colorfastness.

How to Choose Tapestries & Textiles

Textile selections should complement the room’s color palette, scale, and functional needs.

1. Determine the Application

Wall hangings serve as art and acoustic treatment. Cushions and throws add comfort to seating areas. Room-sized textiles define zones within open spaces. Consider the primary function when selecting weight and texture.

2. Choose the Fiber

Linen offers a crisp, structured drape ideal for formal spaces. Cotton provides softness and easy care. Wool adds warmth and natural fire resistance. Silk blends create lustrous accent pieces for low-traffic areas.

3. Consider Scale and Proportion

Wall hangings should cover 50-75% of the wall width they hang on. Oversized pieces work as focal points; grouped smaller pieces create gallery arrangements. Allow 6-12 inches of wall space above and below the textile.

4. Care and Maintenance

Most NUMBO textiles are dry-clean only for best results. Cotton pieces can be machine-washed on gentle cycles. Regular vacuuming with an upholstery attachment removes dust. Store seasonal textiles in breathable cotton bags.

How do I hang a textile wall hanging?

Most NUMBO tapestries include a built-in rod pocket or tab suspension system. Use a wooden or metal rod slightly wider than the textile, mounted with brackets rated for the weight. For heavier pieces, we include a French cleat mounting system.

Are NUMBO textiles suitable for outdoor use?

Our standard textile collection is designed for indoor use. For outdoor applications, we offer solution-dyed acrylic textiles through our Custom Program. These resist UV fading, moisture, and mildew while maintaining a natural textile appearance.

Can I order custom colors or patterns?

Yes. Through our Custom Program, we can match any Pantone color or create bespoke woven patterns. Custom orders require a minimum of 2 pieces per design and have a 45-60 day lead time. Digital proofs are provided before production begins.
