NUMBO designs each piece in-house and manufactures it in our 4,500 m² Foshan facility, offering large-format planters in ceramic, fiberglass, and natural stone, alongside sculptural floor vases in glass and metal. Each piece is engineered with proper drainage systems, UV-stable finishes, and structural reinforcement for sizes up to 120 cm.

How to Choose Planters & Floor Vases

Selecting the right planter or vase involves proportion, material suitability, and drainage requirements.

1. Determine the Scale

For indoor corners, choose planters 30-60 cm tall. Floor vases for entryways should be 60-90 cm. Outdoor planters for privacy screening need 80-120 cm height. Always consider the mature size of the plant when choosing planter dimensions.

2. Select the Material

Ceramic planters offer weight and stability for large plants. Fiberglass provides a lightweight alternative for upper floors and movable arrangements. Stone planters add gravitas to ground-level installations. Glass floor vases create transparency and lightness.

3. Drainage Considerations

Indoor planters should include a removable saucer or cachepot system. Outdoor planters need drainage holes to prevent root rot. NUMBO planters feature integrated drainage channels with discreet plug options for both indoor and outdoor use.

4. Placement and Weight

Large filled planters can weigh 50-100 kg. Ensure the floor can support the load. For upper floors and balconies, choose fiberglass or aluminum planters to reduce weight. Use plant caddies for pieces that need periodic repositioning.

Do NUMBO planters have drainage holes?

All our planters include pre-drilled drainage holes with removable plugs. For indoor use, keep the plugs in and use the included saucer. For outdoor use, remove the plugs for proper drainage. Custom planters can be configured with self-watering reservoir systems.

What is the largest planter size available?

Our standard range goes up to 120 cm height and 60 cm diameter. Through our Custom Program, we can produce planters up to 200 cm for commercial and landscape projects. Large planters include internal reinforcement ribs and are shipped in protective wood crates.

Are floor vases suitable for fresh flowers?

Yes. Our glass and ceramic floor vases are fully waterproof and suitable for fresh flower arrangements. Metal vases include a removable glass liner to prevent corrosion from standing water. For dried arrangements, any of our floor vase materials work without a liner.
