Choosing the right hooks involves considering load capacity, mounting surface, and visual style.

1. Determine the Load Requirement

Light-duty hooks (up to 5 kg) suit towels and lightweight garments. Medium-duty hooks (5-15 kg) handle coats and bags. Heavy-duty hooks (15+ kg) are needed for robes, wet towels, or frequently used items.

2. Consider the Mounting Surface

Solid walls (concrete, brick) accept screws directly. Drywall requires anchors — toggle bolts for heavy loads, plastic anchors for light items. Tile surfaces need specialized drill bits and adhesive options.

3. Select the Material

Brass offers warmth and develops patina over time. Stainless steel provides corrosion resistance ideal for bathrooms. Solid wood hooks add organic texture and work well in bedrooms and living spaces.

4. Plan the Layout

Space entryway hooks 6-8 inches apart for coat clearance. Bathroom towel hooks should be 4-6 inches from the shower or tub edge. Group hooks at varying heights for visual interest and to accommodate different items.

What is the weight capacity of NUMBO hooks?

Do NUMBO hooks include mounting hardware?

Yes. Every hook set includes appropriate screws and wall anchors for standard drywall installation. Brass and stainless steel sets include stainless steel fasteners. Wood hook sets include color-matched wood screws. Installation templates are included for multi-hook arrangements.

Can hooks be installed on tile surfaces?

Yes, but require a carbide or diamond-tipped drill bit to penetrate the tile. We recommend using a quality wall anchor designed for tile. For a no-drill option, our adhesive-mounted hooks use industrial-grade 3M VHB tape rated for smooth, non-porous surfaces.
